Being picky does not mean that you are boring!
I’ve created this slideshow to showcase some of my favorite meals, snacks, and desserts that I’ve made over the last few years! There are crab cakes, steak, (that I made at home with the help of my mom!), cupcakes, berry cake, pasta, and more! I put the song “Spice Up Your Life” by The Spice Girls because, well, I want to spice up my life in the kitchen!
Unfortunately, there is a lot of food that I just despise. So, I try and make variations of my favorite foods while also trying to keep things fresh, new, and exciting! I want to start incorporating new ingredients into my food, and I think one of the easiest ways to do that is to experiment with spices and things that help enhance …disguise… certain flavors (what’s up brussel sprouts? I’m talking to you!)
There are some foods that I’m never going to like *see above photo*, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t some hope for me! I used to HATE pork, and now that I’ve learned how I like it seasoned and cooked, I can say that I like it! Part of being a good cook is learning what works for you!
